GS-4 update

We are working on the corrections so we can have a painted production sample for the 2020 March Meet. Details such as the skyline casing and opening doors on the side skirts have been corrected, to backdate to the original condition. Some of the changes are small such as the cutouts for the dynamos on the side. Whistle placement to the original position etc Once the painted production sample has been fully test run and all details checked then production will begin.

Update 8-23-2019

We are not able to attend the Midwest Show in Indianapolis this year. But do look forward to being there next year. We wish Dan and Amy best of luck with the show. Please do try and attend these shows or they will ultimately close for good. GS-4 Our designer is working on both corrections and upgrades to the GS-4 design. One aspect is to make the larger doors on the side skirts open. However, I have been very clear that I do not want the sleek look of the skirts ruined with overscale hinges. GS-4 Update

I have returned the sample to my builder to have some addition detail added and the main rods fitted in time for 0 Scale West in May. Here are the prototype rods, milled from solid nickel silver bar stock. These are not castings! All part of our drive to give you the best quality we can. Produced for us by Anthony Duarte. SP GS-4 & Passenger cars

What is an engine without a train to pull? An idea has been proposed to us, to make the Daylight cars to go with the locomotives. Not all at once but in stages of 2-3 types each year. Or 1 type every 3-4 months. This way you are not faced with buying a whole at once or waiting endless years for the models to appear. For example 1st stage would be  Observation-Parlor car Parlor Car Tavern car 2nd would be Articulated chair cars single chair car 3rd would be Coffee/Kitchen/dining and so on until the baggage/chair car at the locomotive....
